Motorhome Care

Match the wash to your motorhome

Motorhome care can involve several different tasks on the same vehicle: removing film after storage, maintaining a finish that is already in good condition and completing the final detailing. A product chosen for one of these jobs should not automatically be used as a substitute for the others.

The Silky cleaning range includes Deep Cleaner in ready-to-use and concentrated formats, plus Envirowash for routine washing. Dry Pro Plus sits later in the sequence as a detailing product. Use this guide to choose a starting point, then open the individual product page for its listed surfaces, directions and buying options.

Bringing a motorhome out of storage

Deep Cleaner is a grime- and film-removing wash intended for de-wintering and cleaning during the leisure season. The Ready to Use format is separate from Deep Cleaner Concentrate. Check which container you have before starting: the concentrate needs dilution according to its own label, whereas the other product is supplied ready to use.

The Concentrate guidance includes manual application and pressure-washer use. That does not mean every motorhome component is suitable for pressure washing. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s care guidance as well as the cleaner’s directions, particularly where there are seals, vents, fittings or unfamiliar finishes. Ask before treating a surface whose requirements you cannot establish.

Routine washing and final detailing

For a motorhome whose finish is already well maintained, Envirowash provides the pH-neutral shampoo option. The published method is to pre-rinse, mix with water, use a soft clean sponge from the top down and keep the vehicle wet before the final rinse. Read the current container for mixing quantities and the complete method.

Dry Pro Plus, also described as Dry & Shine in the product information, is for the final-detailing stage. Its directions call for washing first, then applying a fine mist one panel at a time and buffing with a microfibre cloth. This is a finishing task, not a replacement for removing accumulated grime. Listed finishes include paint, glass, gelcoat and chrome.

Choose a practical care sequence

Ready to Use or Concentrate? Both sit in the deeper-cleaning part of the range, but preparation differs. Choose the format whose instructions suit your intended method, and do not transfer dilution directions from one product to another.

What if the finish remains dull after cleaning? Read the restoration guide before choosing a polishing or sealing product. Cleaning, gloss restoration and protection are separate decisions. If the problem is visible yellow staining on GRP or white plastic, compare Silky Bright instead. Tell us about uncertain surfaces using the form below.
