Silky Dry Pro Plus
THE PRODUCT

Silky Dry Pro Plus

Silky Dry Pro Plus is the final-detailing product for a clean, high-gloss motorhome finish. Its role comes after washing: it is not intended to buff away accumulated dirt or replace a restoration process.

The current instructions call for shaking the bottle, applying a fine mist one panel at a time, then buffing with a clean microfibre cloth. Check the container in hand before use.

BEST FOR

Match the task

Use it when the vehicle has already been washed and the finish is sound but would benefit from a final detail. The current product information lists paint, glass, gelcoat and chrome, plus high-gloss mouldings and brightwork.

Work on manageable areas and assess any unfamiliar coating, decal or repair against the vehicle maker’s guidance before applying a detailer.

CHECK FIRST

Before you begin

Make sure loose dirt and road film have been removed first. Rubbing contamination into a finish while buffing risks turning a finishing step into the wrong treatment for the condition.

If a clean panel is still dull or weathered, look at the separate gelcoat-restoration route. Do not present a detailer as a substitute for compounding or sealing.

1

Start with a clean finish

Final detailing is not a shortcut around washing. The current Silky Dry Pro Plus guidance calls for washing with Silky Shampoo first. Once the surface is clean, Dry Pro Plus serves as a waterless detailer for high-gloss leisure finishes rather than a product for removing accumulated grime or restoring heavily weathered gelcoat.

The published product information lists paint, glass, gelcoat and chrome, and also describes high-gloss plastic mouldings and brightwork. Check the current container and the motorhome manufacturer’s care guidance when dealing with unfamiliar coatings, decals or repairs.

2

Prepare for a panel-by-panel finish

Have a clean microfibre cloth ready, shake the bottle well and work on one manageable panel at a time. The stated method permits a wet or dry surface after the cleaning stage. Use the amount and method on the current pack; do not treat visible dirt as something to buff into the finish.

3

Apply and buff

  1. Wash the motorhome first using the appropriate Silky shampoo and follow its current directions.
  2. Shake Dry Pro Plus well.
  3. Apply a fine, even mist to one panel at a time, on a wet or dry surface as the current directions allow.
  4. Buff with a clean microfibre cloth to a reflective finish, then move to the next panel.

If the cleaned surface still looks dull or weathered, the issue may call for a separate restoration sequence. Do not present a detailer as a substitute for compounding or sealing.

Confirm the vehicle is clean and the finish is suitable before applying a final detailer. These answers cover the method and its limits.

No. It is a final detailer. A dull or weathered finish may need the separate restoration sequence described in the motorhome and gelcoat guides.

Choose the right next step

For post-storage film, use the deep-cleaning guide before finishing. For older dull gelcoat, read the restoration guide. The motorhome cleaning hub places routine washing, deeper cleaning and final detailing in sequence.
