Silky Envirowash
THE PRODUCT

Silky Envirowash

Silky Envirowash is the pH-neutral maintenance shampoo in the range for a caravan or motorhome finish that is already in good condition. It is intended for routine washing, not to solve every stain or weathering problem.

Read the current container instructions, measure the wash mix as directed, and work with a clean, soft sponge. Keep the surface wet during washing and finish with a clean-water rinse.

BEST FOR

Match the task

Start here for ordinary dust and light use-related dirt on previously well-maintained finishes. A routine wash can clean the vehicle without turning the job into a deep clean or polishing session.

The published product guidance includes ferrous and non-ferrous metals among its suitable surfaces. Always consider the vehicle maker’s advice for unfamiliar panels, coatings and accessories.

CHECK FIRST

Before you begin

Inspect the vehicle before making the wash solution. Heavy film after storage, persistent yellow staining on white GRP, and a clean but dull finish are different tasks with different product routes.

Do not assume that more shampoo or harder scrubbing will remove a mark that remains after rinsing. Identify the condition first, then consult the relevant cleaning or restoration guide.

1

Is this a routine wash?

If the caravan’s finish is already in good condition and carries ordinary dust or light use-related dirt, a maintenance shampoo is the appropriate starting point. Silky Envirowash is the pH-neutral, non-aggressive shampoo in the range for previously well-maintained caravan and motorhome finishes. The product guidance identifies ferrous and non-ferrous metals among its suitable surfaces.

If the vehicle has accumulated heavy film or greyness in storage, start with the post-storage cleaning guide instead. If white GRP has a persistent yellow stain, that is a separate specialist-treatment decision.

2

Prepare the vehicle and the wash

Read the current Envirowash label before use and check the caravan manufacturer’s advice for its panels, windows, seals, decals and any repaired areas. Use a clean soft sponge and clean water. Keep the vehicle wet during washing as the published instructions specify; work systematically from high areas to lower areas so dirt is not carried back over clean panels.

The Envirowash sequence

  1. Pre-rinse the surfaces and shake the bottle.
  2. Mix 25–35 ml of Envirowash into 6–8 litres of warm or cold water, as stated in the current product instructions.
  3. Wash with a soft, clean sponge from the top down, keeping the vehicle wet while you work.
  4. Complete the wash with a clean-water rinse, then inspect the finish once the surface is clean.

Do not assume a stronger mix or aggressive scrubbing is the answer to a mark that remains. Determine whether it is built-up film, a localised stain or a change in the underlying finish before selecting another product.

Use these answers to check whether your caravan needs a routine wash, how to follow the current mix directions and when a different treatment is needed.

For a previously well-maintained caravan or motorhome carrying ordinary dirt. Heavy seasonal film or specialist staining needs its own assessment.

The current published Envirowash instructions state 25–35 ml in 6–8 litres of warm or cold water. Check the container in hand before use.

The current product guidance includes ferrous and non-ferrous metals among its suitable surfaces. Also check the vehicle manufacturer’s advice for the specific finish.

Yes. The published instructions say to keep the vehicle wet while washing, then finish with a clean-water rinse.

Do not assume a stronger mix is the answer. Identify whether it is built-up film, localised staining or a change in the finish before choosing another product.

What comes after washing?

A sound finish may need no extra treatment. For optional final detailing on a clean high-gloss finish, read the final-detailing guide and the product’s listed surfaces. For seasonal grime, use the deep-cleaning guide. The caravan cleaning hub compares the roles.
